Richard A. Lindenmuth
Mr. Richard A. (Dick) Lindenmuth is currently the Interim Chief Executive Officer of Amcast Industrial Corporation. He is the architect and driver behind the restructuring of the Company.
Dick is a hands-on CEO/General Manager with a strong background in domestic and international operations with over 30 years experience.
He graduated from the Wharton Graduate School and began his career with The Singer Sewing Machine Company in treasury and international finance. Dick progressed into general management positions with increasing responsibilities and soon became the General Manager for The Middle East and Africa.
This position included the responsibility for 10 factory operations as well as all other management functions (finance, marketing, sales, business development) for the region.
Dick was the Director of International Operations for Bendix Automotive. He helped establish joint ventures, such as RENEX (Renault and Bendix) and built a joint venture brake manufacturing operation in Korea for Hyundai before the Hyundai automobiles were imported into the USA. Dick also worked in challenging situations such as tying together the acquired technology companies that were part of Burroughs (now Unysis) into one strategic unit. He also lead the ITT Business and Consumer Communications Group, as President, through the rapid changes of deregulation. Dick directed the ITT BCC Group from $200 million to $600 million in record time. The Company was sold and is now part of Alcatel.
Dick has assessed and redirected strategies, mentored business teams during significant change, established proper controls and visibilty at the Board levels, and acted as an advisor to companies going through significant change as well as leading turnarounds as the Chief Executive Officer.
